As discussed in Part 1 of this series, the treacherous trio of Ezekiel 38 is defined as Turkey, Iran and Russia. Historically, each of these countries enjoyed grand imperial pasts. All are ambitious. All are making a move to achieve a measure of their previous success.
The focus of Part 2 of our discussion of the ill-fated “band of brothers” described in Ezekiel 38 is Iran. Biblically and historically, the geographic region of Iran has also been referred to as Elam and Persia. It is the glory of these past empires to which Iran currently aspires.
We have received so many wonderful comments about our new series, The Kingdom, Power and Glory. As William Welty mentioned in the Foreword of the book, we pray it might be “the road map through the times of trouble that are about to refine God’s children and judge all of God’s enemies.” And, that the Lord will use the series, “to help all of us become firmly entrenched overcomers.”
There is such an urgent need in the Christian body right now for a renewed recognition of our own personal accountability before the Lord. It’s absolutely essential that we develop a “kingdom perspective,” where we see our lives in the context of eternity and acknowledge the importance of becoming over-comers here on earth.
We noted last month that an overcomer is simply one who recognizes his moment- by-moment choices, confesses his sin and then, chooses to turn around and go God’s way.
We conduct 2 tours a year: the Berean Tour and the Issachar Tour
The Berean Tour is our “Walk Through the Bible” tour. We walk where Jesus Walked, we pray where Jesus prayed and we stand where He performed miracles. This journey through the Holy Land will make the scriptures come alive. Truly an incredible trip.
The Issachar Tour focuses on modern Israel and her struggles. Besides visiting amazing biblical sites, this trip will provide private briefings that have previously included briefings and Q & A with members of the IDF, Mossad, the Shin Bet, as well as members of the Knesset.
Our Current Tour Schedule: Issachar Tour: Oct. 27th - Nov. 7th (in Israel Oct. 28 - Nov. 6) Berean Tour: Spring of 2010 - details/pricing available Aug 2009.
